Endeavor Brewing & Spirits announced via social media that the Grandview taproom will close on October 29. The post asked patrons to visit for one more pint to show support for the taproom's bartenders. Before public service ends, Endeavor Brewing is open Tuesday through Thursday from 3 – 11 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m.
Private Events and Linworth Operations
Endeavor Brewing & Spirits announced that it will remain open for private events throughout the holidays at 909 W. Fifth Avenue and has plans to host a final farewell get-together in the future.
The brewery’s sister company, Barrel & Bloom, will remain in operation. That coffee shop and bar combo opened in August 2025 at the former Random Precision Brewing Company site at 2365 W. Dublin-Granville Rd. Endeavor confirmed that its Linworth location, Barrel & Bloom, will operate normally, inviting customers who need an Endeavor pint or spirit to visit there. For regular service, Barrel & Bloom is open Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
The 909 W. 5th Ave. space previously operated as Zauber Brewing before the operation relaunched under the Endeavor Brewing Company name in September 2017. The business was founded by Scott Talmage, Cameron Lloyd and Tyler Provo, and the drinks are inspired by flavors from South America, England and Germany. In 2020, Endeavor established Central Ohio's first standalone brewstillery by introducing on-site distillation and aging facilities.
Headwinds Across Central Ohio Craft Brewing
In late August, Nocterra Brewing Co. abruptly closed both its Powell and Scioto Audubon locations. Carroll's Outerbelt Brewing announced its own closure the week of Sept. 18. Columbus' oldest beer brand, Hoster Brewing, also had its taproom set to close as the historic name was offered for sale. Earlier in the year, BrewDog closed two Columbus locations in the Short North and Franklinton.
Those taproom shutdowns reflect rising operational expenses across the state. The Ohio Craft Brewers Association reported that input costs for beer production rose by roughly 50 percent over the previous five years, as a new generation of drinkers increasingly reached for cocktails, seltzers and non-alcoholic options instead of beer. Brewers face further economic pressure as aluminum costs are up 30 percent and the grocery-store beer aisle has stopped growing.
Statewide, Ohio recorded 25 craft-brewery openings against 34 closures in 2024. Across the country, nearly 500 craft breweries closed in the prior year and the Brewers Association reported a 4 percent drop in total craft beer production along with a contraction in the overall number of craft breweries.
