Inaugural Hilliard Asian Food Festival Brings Street Vendors to CAM International Market on Sunday
The free single-day gathering on Sunday, Oct. 11, highlights Central Ohio's expanding lineup of grassroots Asian food markets.
The inaugural Hilliard Asian Food Festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Oct. 11, bringing a collection of regional street food vendors and mobile entrepreneurs to CAM International Market at 3767 Park Mill Run Drive in Hilliard.
The daytime culinary gathering is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with free admission for all attendees. Surface parking is available across the surrounding CAM International Market shopping center plaza. Verified event listings confirm that the festival is strictly a single-day gathering on Sunday, Oct. 11. While early community inquiries suggested possible weekend festival activity starting on Saturday, Oct. 10, verified schedules confirm that no festival programming is scheduled for Saturday, establishing Sunday as the sole event date.
The event is designed to showcase an array of independent culinary vendors offering Asian street foods and specialties. Among the featured operators is mobile food business Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine, owned by Thailand-born entrepreneur Fang Young. Young, who moved to Columbus six years ago to help recreate the night market culture common in East and Southeast Asia, has been active in organizing grassroots food events across the metropolitan area.

Vendors at the festival are slated to serve an assortment of sweet and savory dishes, continuing a regional wave of events featuring items such as traditional noodles, banh mi, dumplings and specialty iced beverages.
The launch of the Hilliard festival marks the latest expansion of an active grassroots food movement across Central Ohio. The regional trend gained traction after Racha Night Market debuted in Whitehall in 2024, hosting monthly open-air gatherings in the parking lot of Racha Tea at 561 S. Hamilton Road from June through September.
That momentum has continued through the autumn. On Oct. 2, the Clintonville Asian Night Market held its second community street food event on East Weber Road. Looking ahead, local food entrepreneurs are preparing another debut: on Sunday, Oct. 25, the inaugural SEA-Bus Night Market is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the parking lot of Kokomo Juice & Coffee at 694 Parsons Ave. in Columbus, organized by PoCambo hot sauce founder Poe Es. Sunday's gathering at CAM International Market extends that community-driven format into Hilliard.
