Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called around 9:25 p.m. to the area of Sullivant Avenue and Binns Boulevard in the Hilltop neighborhood on a report of a pedestrian struck. Police were called to a report of a car that hit a pedestrian on Sullivant Ave. at Binns Boulevard, near the Westgate neighborhood, at 9:28 p.m..
The dispatcher told 10TV one person was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, and they were later pronounced dead at 10:02 p.m.. WSYX similarly confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead at 10:02 p.m. shortly after arriving at the medical center.
