Under Resolution 26-R-106, council is scheduled to vote on authorizing the city manager to enter into a professional services agreement with Burgess & Niple, Inc. for water infrastructure planning and design services, as well as authorizing an expenditure.

Engineering firms assist municipal governments with utility planning by conducting technical assessments, evaluating system capacity, and designing water distribution infrastructure to guide long-term capital investments.

The agenda listing for the resolution includes a memo for water infrastructure planning and design services on PDF pages 553 to 566. Specific contract figures and design scopes remain pending council discussion and public presentation of that memorandum.

The agenda also schedules approval of minutes from the Oct. 12 regular meeting.

Members of the public wishing to speak on legislation that is not a public hearing are asked to sign in with the clerk and limit remarks to three minutes. Citing Resolution 26-R-106 allows residents to identify the specific agenda item when registering to address council before members vote.
