Breeze Airways Adds Nonstop Columbus Flights to Myrtle Beach Starting May 2027

The twice-weekly route on Mondays and Fridays marks the low-cost carrier's 15th destination from John Glenn Columbus International Airport.

Central Ohio travelers planning trips to the Atlantic coast will have a new direct flight option next spring. Breeze Airways announced Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, that it will launch nonstop service between John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Myrtle Beach International Airport starting May 28, 2027.

The seasonal flights are scheduled to operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, connecting Columbus passengers directly to South Carolina's Grand Strand ahead of the summer travel season. Introductory one-way fares start at $59, with seats now available for booking on the carrier's website and mobile application.

Myrtle Beach marks the low-cost carrier's 15th destination from Columbus since Breeze began operating flights in 2021. The Columbus addition is part of a broader network expansion that includes 22 new routes and four new cities: Boston; Buffalo, New York; Latrobe, Pennsylvania; and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Myrtle Beach serves as the central anchor of the rollout, with Breeze adding 11 new nonstop connections that will expand its seat capacity at the coastal airport by 70% compared to 2026.

Columbus airport leadership welcomed the route announcement, noting that Myrtle Beach remains a highly requested destination among central Ohio leisure travelers.

"We welcome Breeze’s expansion with nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach beginning in May, just in time for summer vacation," Columbus Regional Airport Authority President and CEO Daren Griffin said in a statement. "We appreciate Breeze’s continued commitment to provide flights to where our passengers want to travel."

Breeze founder and chief executive David Neeleman said the airline continues to prioritize point-to-point routes connecting underserved markets without the need to connect through congested hubs.

"Every route we add to our network starts with the same question: where can Breeze’s direct service bring travelers a convenience they don’t already enjoy today?" Neeleman said in a statement. "These new routes and destinations now bring Breeze’s high-value, low-cost service to these cities, making affordable travel to great destinations more convenient than ever."

Breeze operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes across 95 cities in the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The carrier operates a fleet that includes Airbus A220-300 aircraft equipped with onboard high-speed Wi-Fi and premium seating options. According to airline booking terms, the promotional $59 introductory fares for the Columbus-to-Myrtle Beach route include government taxes and fees and apply to travel scheduled between May 28, 2027, and Sept. 7, 2027.
